Though many politicians have already learnt the art of giving, with the expectation of getting the votes in exchange, a section, especially in Luo Nyanza, have remained stingy.

Here they are;

1.Raila Odinga

Opposition leader Raila Odinga has severaly been accused of being a mean person who is not only bad in fundraisers, but also rarely attends any.

Unlike Deputy President William Ruto who can attend several harambees on a single day, Odinga is hardly ever seen in any and usually sends his contribution if it is compulsory.

Among those who have referred to him as stingy is his former ally and current Tourism Cabinet Secretary Najib Balala, and political analyst, lawyer and Jubilee insider Ambrose Weda.

2. Anyang’ Nyong’o

The Kisumu county boss is also known for his hard-to-give nature.

Unlike his fellow politicians who are known to splash money to the youth, and whenever they find themselves surrounded by supporters, Nyong'o has repeatedly said that he would rather use the money elsewhere.

In 2017, he refused to contribute the Sh100,000 contribution for former Nyeri Governor Wahome Gakuru’s burial as was directed by Council of Governors Chair Josphat Nanok.
