Renowned lawyer Miguna Miguna has issued his opinion on how Kenya can significantly reduce corruption in the country.
In a tweet, the lawyer noted that the only way Kenya can be free from graft is by sending President Uhuru Kenyatta and his team home for good.
He argued that runaway graft has reached unprecedented levels and the president and his team are doing nothing much to curb the same.
"To significantly reduce corruption we must first and foremost remove from positions of power and authority those who believe that they are above the law. We must punish to the full extent of the law all murderers, thieves and those abusing power STARTING with Uhuru Kenyatta,” he said.
He opined that persons who have violated the constitution by disobeying court orders cannot fight impunity.
"To believe that Uhuru Kenyatta is fighting corruption as he is loudly and theatrically cheered by @RailaOdinga and buffeted by @WilliamsRuto is like believing that Pablo Escobar and El-Chappo Guzman were heroic fighters against narco/drug trafficking," he tweeted.
