On August 3, 2001, the country was left in deep shock after it emerged that former Kilome MP Anthony Ndilinge was no more.
The deceased was shot twice inside a parked car at Githurai in Nairobi under unclear circumstances weeks after he complained that someone wanted him dead.
It is more than 17 years down the line, but the investigations into his death are yet to bear fruits.
The late Ndilinge was very vocal during the KANU regime.
He had started to mend the broken ties with the retired President Daniel Moi before he met his tragic death.
His second wife once said they were sure justice won’t be served to the family since it is a tradition in this nation.
“Political murders are never solved in Kenya, and they will never be solved. It has never happened,” late MP’s second wife Serah told a local daily.
The site where the former minister was buried remains desolate and deserted.

Ndilinge's father Ivita Ndilinge died three days after he received news on his son's death.
The former minister couldn't sit back and watch his people suffer in the hands of corrupt leaders.
He spoke his mind regardless of what others said about him.
The late Ndilinge was fearless and charismatic.
He was loved by residents due to his vocal nature.
