The ongoing fight against graft is an orchestrated move to block Deputy President William Ruto from clinching presidency in 2022 polls, argues Kapsaret MP Oscar Sudi.
In a direct jibe against President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga, Sudi said on Sunday that the move will backfire, adding that Kenyans are not 'stupid' to believe the narrative about Ruto on corruption.
A furious Sudi insisted that 'they know what Uhuru and Raila have stolen' and that when the appropriate time comes, they will be forced to reveal to the people of Kenya.
"I want to tell the president and Raila that they cannot hide in war against corruption to fight DP Ruto. Ruto has his people and cannot be taken for granted. We know there is no war which is being fought on graft," he said.
"It has nothing to do with the dams but a cover up for JKIA deal. We know what you've stolen and you're big thieves. When that time comes, we shall let the world know. We shall fight back," said Mr Sudi, a close ally of Ruto.
On Friday, DP William Ruto accused Mr Odinga of using the Handshake with President Uhuru Kenyatta to frustrate him from within Jubilee, adding that construction of Kamwarer and Arror dams were being politicised to potray him as corrupt by Mr Odinga.
NASA CEO Norman Magaya has fired back at Ruto's team, insisting that they are also ready for a political duel should the DP's team continue dragging Mr Odinga to matters affecting government.
"Having been cornered in scandals against his own people Re NCPB scandal, fertilizer scandal & Arrow & kamwarer dams scandal, William Ruto now hopes he can turn @RailaOdinga into a bogeyman & use it as a tool to rally the Rift Valley. This won't work. We won't allow," he said in a statement on Twitter.
