With DPP Nordin Haji reopening more than 35 case files involving current and former county executive, the immediate former Garissa Governor Nathif Jama is reportedly spending sleepless nights away from home trying to fix the notable corruption allegations that rocked his administrations.
According to a source close to the former county chief, the latest case where the former Nairobi county boss Evans Kidero was charged in the court sent jitters in Nathif Jama's circles that all was not well.
Director of Public Prosecutions Nordin Haji has vowed to clean up the mess in all public offices, stating that a lot of taxpayers' money had been fleeced by individuals who felt that they were untouchable.
Just a year ago, the High Court issued an order to freeze some accounts reportedly belonging to Nathif Jama to allow investigations into corruption syndicates that rocked Garissa county during his regime.
A notable case is where his account at the South C First Community bank was blacklisted following suspicious transaction was effected from a Garissa county bank.
Amid the graft cases, Jama is still directing accusing fingers to his political rivals, who he says, want to politically murder him.
