Locals of Turbo village in Uasin Gishu county were on Sunday treated to a rare drama after a father and his son exchanged blows over what is alleged to be a girlfriend.
The son identified as Kipchumba Rotich arrived home from work only to find his girlfriend with the father in their house.
At first, the son thought the lady had visited him but later realized that she had actually come to visit the father.
This is after Rotich innocently tried to hug his girlfriend only to be stopped by the father who accused him of being disrespectful.
"Wewe mtoto huna adabu, unatongoza mchumba wangu?" the father told the son loosely translated us, "You are so disrespectful, you are eying my lover?"
It is at this point that the two engaged in a bitter exchange of words that later culminated in a fist fight.
"At first I thought she had come to pay me a visit but I realised that there is a dirty game between her and my father," said the angry son.
It took the intervention of neighbours to separate and calm the two from the fierce fight.
"Mr John Kiptoo is our neighbour and we know him as a good man. I don't know what happened to him. This is very shameful," said Duke Osara, a neighbour.
The area Sub Chief David Songkok confirmed the incident terming it as shameful even as he advised married men against engaging in illicit affairs.
