Fred Odongo, Managing Director of Doshko Company Limited, was tendered to construct an Early Childhood Development (ECD) centre and a toilet at San Marco ECD in Kuresoi South.

His company also constructed another ECD classroom at Kalunguka Kiplemeino in 2014 at a cost of Sh1.19 million, the other project having gobbled 1.38 million.

He told the Standard that the county only paid him Sh500, 000 at the start of the job, promising to clear the balance upon completion of the construction.

About five years down the line, the latter is reportedly yet to be paid Sh4 million for the job and is under pressure from the Youth Enterprise Development Fund where he borrowed Sh690, 000.

Mr Odongo says that he is having problems with the fund, considering that he promised to repay the loan in two years, as county accountants and officials allegedly continue taking him round in circles whenever he asks for payment.

He claims that his invoices have also disappeared thrice at the Nakuru County offices.
