West Mugirango MP Vincent Kemosi Mogaka who was elected on a Ford Kenya party ticket was on Tuesday humiliated and chased away from a funeral after he failed to honor a promise he made to a bereaved family in Nyamokenye village, Nyamira County.

The mourners ejected the MP from the funeral on grounds that he failed to settle mortuary bills for the deceased person.

“Kemosi should find kids he should joke around with. He lied to us and after he failed to honor his promise he made to clear mortuary bills, he reappeared at the funeral to cheat us again. Let him go with his Ford Kenya party,” said a mourner Duke Nyareso.

Mr. Nyareso said Kemosi was not even given a microphone to address the mourners.

A family member who spoke in confidence said the lawmaker has been making false promises to the constituents.

“Kemosi is like Wetangula who makes unnecessary promises. He promised to help us in paying mortuary bills but, he failed. Mourners had to kick him out of the funeral ceremony,” he said.

However, Kemosi dismissed the mourners saying his political rivlas are behind his ejection from the funeral.

“My political rivals are after me. They should know I still remain the area MP until 2022 and no intimidation or blackmail will succeed,” he said.
