Paul Ongili alias Babu Owino is the Embakasi East MP serving his first term in office.
The flamboyant former University of Nairobi (UoN) student leader is also considered among the wealthiest youthful politicians in Nairobi.
The MP has never been afraid of talking about his wealth and was once quoted saying that he had financial connections with the late former Libyan President Muammar Gaddafi.
According to teronblog.wordpress.com, Owino’s net worth is estimated at $1.2 million.
The MP is also said to own rental houses in Nairobi’s Eastlands, a fleet of PSV matatus and other businesses.
He also owns a multi-million residential home in Kileleshwa.
The controversial MP is further said to own top of range vehicles among them Toyota Cruiser V8, Hyundai Tuscani, Range Rover Sport and Toyota Prado.
He is said to have powerful connections with business tycoons, technocrats and top politicians.
The MP has often dismissed claims linking him to drug trafficking insisting that his business is clean and he can account for everything he owns.
