Nominated MCA Urbanus Wambua approached Kasikeu ward MCA Julius Tangai holding him by the tie and shirt where this prompted Tangai to hit Wambua.

The fight came as a reaction after a Point of Order raised by Kasikeu MCA Tangai Munari about the autonomy and integrity of the house.

He had asked Makueni Women Representative Rose Museo to cease issuing uninformed criticism and opinion on the operations of the County Assembly and concentrate with National issues in Parliament.

His concerns were seconded by Thange ward MCA Nicholas Maitha who asked the women rep to channel her concerns regarding the County Assembly in a structured manner.

Wambua was rushed to Rapha hospital in Wote to receive treatment.

When contacted about the fight, the Speaker Douglas Mbilu said the matter will be investigated by the Powers and Privilege Committee and due process will be followed.

A few days ago Makueni women representative Rose Museo had asked elected MCA's in the county to involve the nominated ones in the oversight programmers.

Nominated MCAs had complained three months ago about being sidelined by the elected ones and even being chased out of a two-day meeting held at Panari Hotel in Mombasa.
