Three orphans have been evicted from their home by their uncle who allegedly sold their land in Manga on Tuesday.
The orphans, Edgar, Vincent and Celine who in class 5, 6 and 7 respectively said a cartel who bought their land asked them to vacate their home failure to which they would be killed.
“Our parents died mysteriously last year and left us with an acre of land. Early this year, our uncle, Robert Ongoncho, approached us and told us to accept to sell the land," said Vincent.
They urged area Chief Fidelis Ong’uti and members of the public intervene by stopping ongoing developing of the land.
“We have no where to go. Government authorities should intervene and ensure we get back to our home,” noted Celine.
The chief said the man who had reportedly bought the land will not be allowed to occupy it.
“I will not allow the cartel who bought the land because I was not even involved when the transaction was being done.
"The orphans’ uncle must refund the money he sold the land or he be arrested and taken to court,” he noted.
