National Assembly Leader of Majority Aden Duale has hit back at Kieni lawmaker Kanini Kega over his recent call for an investigation against him.
Kega on Sunday questioned Duale's conduct in leading the house in rejecting the sugar probe report on Thursday, terming the move suspicious.
He further hit out at the Garissa Township's minority counterpart John Mbadi who also fully supported the rejection of the Kega-led committee's finding on the contraband sugar probe.
But addressing the press in his office on Monday, Duale instead called for investigations against Kega, terming his report as incomplete and doctored, according to his committee members.
"The people to be investigated should be the members of the joint Agriculture and Trade committee who were the first to raise concerns over the report, saying that it was doctored," said Duale.
"The committee did a shoddy job hence the rejection as otherwise, why are there no names of the sugar importers?" wondered the vocal leader.
Similar sentiments were aired by Mbadi who vowed to once again shoot the report down in the event that it is again tabled in the House just as it is.
"If this report were to be brought to the Parliament again, in its current condition, I would still shoot it down," said he.
On his part, Kega has maintained that the report is reliable and complete with all the required information after deep investigations.
