Ainabkoi Member of Parliament William Chepkut has told Deputy President William Ruto to lay off his current advisors for misleading him and employ new ones in order to survive politically.
In a tweet, the legislator wondered why the deputy president was adamant on his stand that there were no reported deaths directly attributed to hunger in some parts of the country, yet local leaders gave a contradicting report.
He noted that the deputy president's advisors were to blame for supplying Ruto will fictitious and unverified reports on current issues in the country.
"Why is Ruto still insisting that no Kenyan has died due to hunger?" Chepkut posed.
The Member of Parliament opined that his deputy party leader should disband the whole of his advisory team, and bring in fresh people who are competent enough in providing clear communication.
"I think DP needs to fire his current advisors get new ones, who won’t mislead him, he posted.
He noted that if Ruto failed to make the changes, he might not survive the political situation in the country.
"Bure(Otherwise) he won’t survive these political turbulence, in my view," Chepkut said.
