Wiper rebels from Ukambani region have been cautioned against intimidating former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka.
The party's youth league said they will not sit back and watch 'selfish' leaders frustrate Kalonzo as he seeks to ascend to power in 2022.
They said Wiper is among the largest political parties in the country hence their leader deserves to be respected by all not only from the Kamba nation but the entire country.
“The party youth league have assembled here today to make it abundantly clear that honorable Kalonzo Musyoka is a national leader who draws support from across the country and is well respected nationally and internationally. Next is that Wiper party is the largest party. We want every Kenyan to know that the Wiper Democratic Movement will not be destructed by unnecessary political posturing from some of our colleagues who we know better,” the youths said in a statement.
The youths were speaking in reference to Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana, who has already announced his resignation from the party as its chairman.
Kibwana has cited frustrations by Kalonzo, whom he claims has been using MCAs to derail his agenda.
