A vocal MP has backed Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka's plans to vie for Presidency in 2022.
This comes after Mr. Musyoka insisted on Tuesday that he will be on ballot.
Borabu MP Ben Momanyi said Kalonzo is fit to be the next governor.
"Kalonzo's time has come to liberate this country. I am supporting his plan to vie for Presidency in 2022," he said.
Mr. Momanyi said those opposed to Kalonzo's candidature should support a candidate of their own choice when time comes.
The lawmaker insisted that Kalonzo has been supporting Raila for long and it is time for him to go alone into the ballot.
"Kalonzo doesn't need Raila's input to become President. Raila has been using other leaders for long. He should support Kalonzo in 2022 as he retires from active politics," he said.
Momanyi, who has declared interest in Nyamira gubernatorial seat, urged Wiper allied MPs to remain loyal.
