West Mugirango Member of Parliament Vincent Kemosi has refuted claims that he is running a parallel bursary kitty like that of the national government’s constituency development fund (NG-CDF).
He told off his critics and instead urged them to come and work together for the sake of the constituents.Kemosi said that time for campaigns and mere propaganda aimed at derailing his development agenda which he pledged to his constituents during 2017 campaigns.
The Kemosi Mogaka Foundation was started by the MP in 2015 before he ascended to power where he has been supporting needy students within the constituency to access basic education in secondary schools.
“This is a foundation which has been in existence since 2015, that time I was not an MP and my being now MP cannot make me stop assisting the needy children in accessing the basic education.
"Those who think otherwise about this initiative should wait for election time in 2022 or come we take our people forward," said the MP.
He asked those politicizing his works to give him time to deliver to his pre-election pledges.
“Those people who are politicizing any development should give me time to work for our people and until we head for another elections, they should support me or keep quite”, he said.
Over 500 students have benefited from the foundation since its start in 2015.Every child receives at least Ksh. 3000.
Vincent Kemosi said that in the future, he intends to increase the funding and bring in more beneficiaries.
He was speaking in Nyamira Primary grounds during the award of the bursary by Kemosi Mogaka Foundation where 150 students received cash.
