African Union High Representative on Infrastructure Development Raila Odinga on Saturday hailed his current relationship with President Uhuru Kenyatta following the handshake.
Speaking at Serena Hotel in Nairobi, Raila said that his friendship with the commander in chief has not only brought unity in the nation but also development.
He noted that many things have changed since he decided to bury his differences with Uhuru, a man completing his second and final term in office.
The Former prime minister urged Kenyans to continue supporting the head of state as he implements the Big Four Agenda.
He also noted that there are many projects that have been initiated since he made a surprise about-turn amid jitters in Ruto’s camp over Uhuru’s succession.
Raila further said that he has no secret mission as speculated by politicians aligned to the second in command.
"We are not looking for positions or targeting anybody. We are bringing everybody together," he said.
