Murathe on Sunday claimed that he has voluntarily vacated the seat to concentrate on his new push to block Deputy President William Ruto's 2022 presidential bid.

But in an interview on Radio Maisha Monday morning, the commentator noted that the latter must have been instructed to leave the seat by more powerful sources.

With his anti-Ruto remarks having resulted to an uproar from the Jubilee faction allied to the DP, Bigambo said that his resignation could be a crisis management technique.

"Huenda kuna mkono nyuma ya kujiuzulu kwake, hii ni crisis management na huenda waliona akiendelea kukaa pale angeleta matatizo.

(This is all about managing the crisis he seems to have created, he must have been instructed to exit)," he said.

But speaking on Sunday, Murathe claimed that he only found it hard operating alongside a man whose political career he seeks to destroy.

The latter has since said that Ruto's 2022 plans are illegal, having served as the Deputy President for the last seven terms, arguing that he cannot breach the two term presidential limit.

He has also cautioned Ruto against expecting the Central Kenya vote in 2022.
