In an interview with Goal, Migne made a pledge on how he wanted his team to play in the upcoming tournament.

“Our target in Egypt is to go past the group stage and thereafter we can think of what to do next.

This is the time to make Kenyans proud and I know we have the squad that can do that job. All we need to do is to remain focused and play our game," he said.

Migne has insisted he will not adopt a markedly more defensive style when his team travels to Egypt and will instead play an all-out attack game.

Although Migne made it possible for Kenya to qualify, many Kenyans believe that winning or losing in the group stages could prove to be a deciding factor for Migne's future in the national team.

Migne, who is under contract until 2021, has attracted criticism during the quarters for excluding star players in the squad.
