After a sour relationship with ODM leader Raila Odinga, Ford Kenya boss Moses Wetangula is not yet done with the country's top leadership.
With the referendum debate shaping up, Wetangula has found himself reading from the same scripture with that of DP William Ruto, who is keen to capture the top seat.
At Mt. Elgon on Friday, Ruto laid bare his plans to work with Wetangula, adding that the two can redeem fortunes for the Western belt of the country.
"And when I see Wetangula here, I feel confident. He has shown ability to work together and as Jubilee, we are ready to work with him.
"In future, the good working relationship can translate to political partnership. There is nothing wrong with that," he said.
Another indication that Mr. Wetangula's relationship with Ruto is inevitable, is manifested in the statements issued by former Kakamega Senator Bonnie Khalwale.
Khalwale asked Luhya leaders to work closely with Ruto because he 'has real chances of winning presidency'.
In his speech, Wetangula launched another scathing attack on Raila, portraying him as a desperate leader hiding in a referendum to surge his dwindling fortunes.
"If at all we are going for a referendum, then it must be issue based. We can't allow people to hide in it to rescue their dwindling fortunes."
