It's very okay for someone to pee in bed while young. No one ever learns to control it until while he/she is very young.
Others master the art of controlling the pee after primary school while others after high school. However, a 23 years old lady reveals her disappointments and this is her story:
I have always wondered if am abnormal. I grew up messing my beddings. My mother could wake up and clear the beddings to ensure I was clean before going to school. Unfortunately, my mother died when I was in class six and everything was in a mess.
I was taken to a boarding school. I would not manage to contain the smell even though I was forced by the matron to take shower early in the morning. I did not like it. You understand how cold it becomes in Nyansiongo area early in the morning.
I was done with my primary education but I could not manage to control myself at night in as much as I tried. In high school, the same thing used to happen and I hated myself for it.
I was nicknamed ‘ekenyamasinyoro’ a Kisii word that meant one who urinates anyhow. When I flew off the handle with someone, it could be rubbed on my face and I really felt heartbroken.
In college, the same happened till I was done. I always avoided going to sleepovers in as much as I wished to. I could have a boyfriend but out of guilt, I could drop him.
I changed my sleeping routine. I could get to bed very late but still, it did not help. I hear many people stop peeing in bed after primary school and those who go far, stop after form four. Am really depressed.
