Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has commissioned a new toilet facility at Edelvale Primary School at Lower Savanna Ward in Embakasi East constituency.
Babu said the new facility is expected to improve the environmental and hygienic conditions in the school.
In a post on his Facebook page, the MP said the facility which will be used by boys and girls, persons with disability and teachers will promote the pursuit of academic excellence among students.
Earlier, the school had only two toilets which led to a lot of time wastage and exposed the students to a lot of health risks.
Owino further said that investment in education, improvement in infrastructure and providing bursaries will go a long way in ensuring that students perform well.
“Happy to unveil new 20 door TOILET facility for both males/females pupils, persons with disability and teachers in Edelvale Primary School at Lower Savanna Ward in Embakasi East constituency.
It’s my prayer that with these improved sanitation facilities, our pupils will be able to focus on learning during the academic year.
We will continue to work on improving the learning environment in the entire constituency. I believe that such action coupled with enhanced investment in bursaries and learning materials will improve the academic performance of students in our constituency,” posted Babu on Facebook.
