Shabana Football Club management has announced plans to host its fans, supporters and members of the public for a dinner.

The event will double up as a fundraiser in support of the club's activities, which have since improved in the recent past. 

Shabana were recently promoted to National Super League after beating FC Mwatate from Eastern Kenya. 

"The event will be happening on 30th November 2018 at Crowne Plaza Hotel, Nairobi. Doors will open at 6.00pm. All are welcome,"a said Kerubo Momanyi, one of the organizers. 

Fans and supporters of the Kisii-based club have confirmed participation and attendance on the said date. 

Makori, an architect based in Nairobi asked the club to also provide an alternative support system for those who may not make it physically to the event. 

"We ask the club management to provide us with PayBill and bank details for those who may wish to support the event but are far. Shabana remains our best club. We are excited of their promotion to NSL, " opined Makori.

Recently, the club patron, Jared Nivaton in the company of celebrated Tv anchor Lilian Muli flew to Kisii to meet government officials. 

They managed to meet Governor Ongwae, Deputy Governor Maangi ,CEC Youth, Culture and Sports Mr. Duke Mainga. 

After the meeting, Governor Ongwae promised to be the chief guest during the dinner. Worthy to note is that Shabana relies on Gusii stadium which is managed by the County Government of Kisii as their home ground. 

Efforts to reach Nivato for a comment on the issue bore no fruit by the time of submission of this article.
