Nairobi governor Mike Sonko has found himself on the receiving end after referring to a Member of the Nairobi County Assembly as a thief.
The MCA, Peter Imwatok (Makongeni Ward), has promised to ensure the county chief "never settles" for calling him a thief unless he clarifies the statement.
He did not specify whether he will prefer legal action against Sonko or not.
"I always speak the truth and he is not comfortable with that. He is full of public relations with no good work record," the MCA said while speaking on Milele FM.
Sonko on Wednesday while speaking at the same station had accused the MCA of being part of a cartel that swindled money when Dr Evans Kidero was governor.
He claimed that the MCA's bank account had been used to transfer money from specific city companies to Dr Kidero's personal bank account.
Imwatok, however, refuted the claims saying Sonko is uncomfortable with what he always says about his poor performance record.
The MCA is among ward representatives who are not in good books with Sonko who has pledged to work tirelessly in ensuring corruption does not thrive at City Hall.
On Thursday, a businessman Sonko claims wanted to bribe him with Sh1 million was arraigned before a court in Nairobi.
