A student was on Wednesday night burnt beyond recognition in a dorm fire at Njia Secondary School.

But it was on Thursday that other students learnt of the death.

According to Daily Nation, the death of the student was noticed Thursday as the students searched through the debris.

Other students ‘stumbled upon what looked like remains of a human body’, the paper reported.

“A head count was done and one student was found missing. First responders did not notice the body because it was burnt badly and only small parts of the body remained,” a school source told the paper.
