According to the Daily Nation, the lawmakers resorted to chaos, after accusing Speaker Elizabeth Ayoo of changing a list of new office holders who were recently elected.

The MCAs in September conducted a new election, bringing to power new leaders.

Among the victims was house Majority Leader Richard Ogindo who is the representative  for Kwabwai Ward, whose position was given to his Kanyadoto counterpart Walter Muok.

Ogindo was dethroned over allegations of poor leadership, in a move facing full opposition from the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) which controls the house.

The party through its Secretary General Edwin Sifuna rubbished the changes, summoning the MCAs in support of the changes for disciplinary measures.

Similarly, a similar communication was relayed from the party Executive Director Oduor Ong’wen who also downplayed the changes in September.

A section of the MCAs who were summoned over party indiscipline  have maintained that the changes will stand, with or without the  the party's approval.

“We received the letters via WhatsApp. Let it be clear that the changes we made remain as we made them,” Rusinga’s Okuku Miregi told the Standard on October 16.
