The two took to social media to speak about their meeting, a month after Joho visited Kirubi who has been sick.

Joho and Kirubi held talks on how Kirubi has managed to invest in Mombasa and the larger coast region through Centum.

"Happy to meet my good friend @CKirubi in great spirit. I wish him well. The mega investment that @Centum_Inv is undertaking at the Coast is highly welcome," said Joho on Twitter.

"It was a pleasure meeting you my friend @HassanAliJoho. I look forward to our continued partnership in developing and investing in the Coastal region. When we work together, great things happen!" added Kirubi.

When the two met in June, the entrepreneur said: "I had the pleasure of receiving a visit from governor of Msa county @HassanAliJoho at my home in Kilifi. He came to wish me well as I continue to recuperate. We discussed matters of national interest, in particular nation building, investment and fostering cooperation."
