Keumbu residents in Nyaribari Chache constituency were left in a rude shock after a Pastor was caught defiling a minor inside a bush on Sunday evening.
It is alleged that the pastor identified as Simon Anyega lured the 10-year-old girl into the bush after he gave her sweets.
"The minor was returning home from Keumbu market where she was sent to buy avocado by her mother when Anyega met her. He gave her sweets and lured her into the bush where he was caught," said the area chief Mary Moige.
Mrs Moige said angry residents who caught the pastor beat him thoroughly before he escaped into a nearby sugarcane farm.
She said the pastor escaped the thorough beating abandoning a Holy Bible, a wallet which had his National Identification card, Sh1400 and three condoms.
"Anyega will be arrested because the minor revealed that he had promised to give her Sh100," she said.
The administrator warned men against defiling minors saying whoever who will be caught will face the full force of the law.
