There was drama on Monday evening at Choppies Supermarket Nakuru town after a middle-aged woman was arrested for allegedly shoplifting.
The incident which took place at around 6.30pm attracted the attention of the public at the busy supermarket.
The woman raised suspicion after attendants saw her packing plates into her handbag.
Gideon Sila, a security officer at Choppies supermarket, said the woman was in the company of two others who fled immediately they realized their colleague had been nabbed.
“The suspect confessed to stealing from various supermarkets adding that before entering Choppies supermarket, the trio had been to Tuskys supermarket along Kenyatta Avenue,” said Sila.
The woman was handed to investigators at the Central police station in Nakuru.
