Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i has vowed to arrest politicians from Kisii County engaging in divisive politics.
Matiang'i while speaking in Kisii town on Friday regretted that a section of elected politicians have turned to be goons.
"I am not going to condone my brothers and sisters who are Members of Parliament, MCAs and senators engaging in divisive and hatred politics. We must respect the rule of law," he noted.
He dismissed claims that he is jealous of how the Gusii community politics is being carried on saying both elected leaders and those who lost during the last year's polls must embrace unity.
Matiang'i reiterated that the Boda boda riders who are being hired by local politicians to cause a disturbance at funerals won't be spared.
"Riders who are given chang'aa and then sent to funerals to bring chaos will be arrested to face prosecution. It is high time our politicians to stop misusing our youths working as Boda boda operators," stated Matiang'i.
He assured that he will never succumb to criticism adding that critics have room to continue criticizing as long as it is positive criticism.
