Two police officers have been found guilty of shooting dead their colleague in a manner most brutal.
The court found the two guilty of shooting dead an Administration Police officer and his two relatives. It handed them a death sentence.
Lady Justice Stella Mutuku on Wednesday handed Benjamin Kahindi and Stanley Okoti the maximum death penalty saying the prosecution had proved beyond reasonable doubts that the two killed harmless people.
The case has been ongoing since 2014 when the two were charged.
They were found to have killed Joseph Obong'o, his cousins Geoffrey Nyabuto and Amos Makori on October 7, 2014, at M-Club in Kangemi Nairobi.
Obong'o was an AP officer attached to Bomachoge Borabu MP Joel Onyancha.
“Although police officers are exposed to danger by virtue of their job, they cannot be allowed to act irresponsibly. They faced no danger as two of the victims had surrendered by lying on the ground. I find that justice can only be served by sentencing them both to death,” the court ruled.
