Speaking on Monday, the commentator took issue with the DP's strategy, noting that he is adopting opposition leader Raila Odinga as tack which will land him on the losing end.

He observed that the DP is using too much effort trying to impress the public, forgetting that Raila has repeatedly used the same tack, only to claim that he was rigged later.

He advised him to instead spend a lot of his effort trying to woo kingmakers and well known political influencers who might among others, fund him and make it easier for him.

According to Andati, Ruto should also seek the help of people who have knowledge on how to go around the issue like retired President Daniel Moi if he is to make it to the top seat.

"Ruto anajaribu siasa zilezile za Raila za kudhani wananchi watampa Urais, akumbuke Raila amekuwa na Raia wengi lakini hajawai kuapishwa awe Rais.

(He is doing the same thing Raila has been doing, thinking power is gotten from the people, forgetting that Raila has never been sworn in as President)," he said.

Andati was speaking on Radio Maisha's Bunge La Maisha, Monday morning.

At the same time, he faulted the DP for failing to emulate his former political teacher Moi who spent most is his time making and building friends across the nation.

He said that Ruto might not get a helping hand come 2022 and in the future as he has not built any diehard support base of either Kenyans or leaders.

"Alikuwa mwanafunzi was Moi lakini inaonekana hakusoma vya kutosha, hajajenga mtu yeyote(he seems to not have learnt enough from Moi, he has not built anyone)," he added.

The DPs and his allied have since maintained that his bid is inevitable.
