Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale will have a very busy weekend ahead, as per a statement on his Twitter handle.

The vocal leader who is known for his many tours across the Western region on weekends, has said this coming weekend will not be an exception.

In a tweet on Thursday, he released his schedule for the weekend, which indicates that he will be visiting 12 venues within Kakamega County between March 29 and April 1.

On Friday, 29 March, he will be visiting Webuye Pan Paper area and Lugari areas within Lugari Sub County.

On Saturday, 30 March, the ex-lawmaker will be attending functions and meeting his supporters in Kakamega Town, before proceeding to Lurambi and Liranda.

He will also visit Shinyalu on the same day, according to the tweet.

Sunday, March 31 will see him tour areas of Musingu and Ikolomani which he represented in the National Assembly before winning the senator position in 2013. He will also visit Sisokhe and Navakholo. 

On Monday he will be in Shibwe before completing his tour in Ikolomani.

Khalwale vied for the Kakamega gubernatorial seat in the 2017 elections but lost to the incumbent Wycliffe Oparanya.

He has since declared support for Deputy President William Ruto's 2022 presidential bid.
