Ayoma is a Bachelor of Arts student. He is also the outgoing University of Nairobi Main Campus chairman.

The new UNSA president thanked UoN comrades for electing her the union’s boss and vowed to work with everyone.

“Good morning majestic comrades of The University of Nairobi, I take this opportunity to congratulate all the victorious comrades line-ups from all the twelve UoN Campuses across the country. Indeed your tireless efforts to represent us have been a remarkable journey worth celebrating," Mvurya said.

She added: "To be honest no one has lost elections, we learn as we soldier on, there is always another time. As we package ourselves for council elections, I look forward working with all of you for the benefit of all students and to restore our pride as an institution. Once again congratulations to all our elected leaders."

Former student leader Irene Kendi thanked University of Nairobi comrades for electing the varsity’s first female president.

“Thank you comrades for changing the history of the mighty University of Nairobi, voting for this girl Ann Mvurya, was the best thing you did and Justice to all comrades. I know her capacity. Ann take the mantle and serve the comrades diligently,” Kendi said.
