A nominated MCA allied to Jubilee Party in Kisii County on Friday appealed to opposition leader Raila Odinga to stop dragging Deputy President William Ruto into corruption scandals
Bethy Obiri said Raila has now attained the age of retirement to allow young leaders to have their chance in governing Kenya.
"It is shameful for Raila to continue competing with young leaders he helped in their political career. It is high time Raila should accept to retire because his age mates are at home enjoying pension," she noted.
According to Obiri, the former Prime Minister is trying to seek relevance in politics by dragging DP Ruto into the dams scandal.
"Mentioning DP Ruto's name every time a corruption scandal comes up tells how the ODM party leader is desperate. If he doesn't want to retire from politics, he should stop seeking relevance by dragging other people's name into false allegations," she stated.
She appealed to DP Ruto and Kenyans to ignore Raila because his time in politics is up.
"Since Raila is misusing the handshake ignoring him will be the best option," she added.
The vocal MCA was speaking at the funeral in Bokomaa village Nyamwari sub-location Riana Ward on Friday.
