The ODM party leader, Raila Amollo Odinga will be the fifth president of this republic. The movements, decisions and collaborations that this veteran politician is portraying depict that he can not let go; he must see himself enter the State House.
It is clear and evidential that in the latest events, Raila has shown collaboration and co-operation with the Central leaders. This is a no joke, no game togetherness because, in his mind, Raila is calculating the cost of his humiliating lose - not once, not twice. This must be either productive and profitable or fruitful.
In order to win the race, the Central region votes are very important.
That is why Raila is more than concentrated in winning in this region. The only way through which he can is by strengthening the power of the handshake as well as keeping and making many more friends from this particular locality.
In my opinion, the postponed directive to the ODM members on whether he will vie or not (Raila Odinga) is a waste of time meant to dismiss the curiosity as he prepares to face the Deputy President William Ruto come 2022.
Possibly, he will convince the Western leaders - Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula to support him one last time; plus the Central votes that will see him emerge victorious.
Another probable reason as to why Raila can not expose that he will vie is because he does not want to signal an earlier competition between him and DP Ruto, who has been recently criticized for his 'kutangatanga'.
However, this was a light note made in a statement by his political boss - President Uhuru Kenyatta referring to his here and there movements in checking out the development progress countrywide.
