A Kayole woman has resurfaced days after photos of her 'dead' body circulated on several social media forums.
Ms. Martha Kwamboka accused her unnamed boyfriend of cyber bullying, adding that the two had separated before the bizarre incident.
"Thanks for the calls I received from people especially from my home in Nyamira and across the country. At least now I know I have friends," she wrote on Facebook.
The 25-year-old added:"I am safe and fine. I haven't died even the fake photo hanging is just Photoshop."
News about her 'stage-managed' death formed basis of discussion on Tuesday with Kenyans raising the question of morality over the ongoing suicide cases.
Some even linked her 'imaginary death' to high cost of living following the introduction of 8% VAT on petroleum products.
"A woman from Kayole has committed suicide. In her suicide note, she says she could not raise rent," said blogger Robert Alai.
But according to Ms. Kwamboka, who hails from Nyamira, the ill about supposed death was manufactured by her ex-lover.
"He is not ready to move on and I regret giving her my passwords and trust. This is pure cyber bullying but God will judge for me."
