Nakuru County Commissioner Joshua Nkanatha has issued a stern warning to the illegal 'Confirm' group that is operating in Nakuru.
Speaking in Nakuru during Mashujaa Day celebrations, Nkanatha was categorical that police have been given orders to crackdown on the group.
He called on parents to ensure they trace the movement of their children so that they are not caught up in the crackdown.
“Our officers have orders to ensure the confirm groups doing illegal business in the outskirts of Nakuru are dealt with,” said Nkanatha.
He assured the residents that the county security team will continue working closely to enhance security in all the sub-counties of Nakuru.
'Confirm' is a criminal group that swindles people money through money transfers after duping them with fake Mpesa messages among other electronic ways.
