Speaking when he was launching his presidential bid, Kalonzo said it was unfortunate Raila claimed that he is a reformist yet he wanted to forcibly take over the government.

He argued that Raila is not as reformed as he claimed when campaigning for the nation’s top seat.

The Ukambani political kingpin said it was not his habit to exchange words with other leaders, but this time round he could not sit back and watch Raila lie to Kenyans.

“It is not his nature to throw stones. However, certain principles and values he holds dear at times force him to react the way he did in Machakos. It often pains him seeing some people present a false pretext,” Kalonzo said.

He also accused Raila and his team of causing many deaths in their quest for power.

Kalonzo said they two should be taken to jail over the same.

“They tried to overthrow an elected government, and in the process caused many deaths and made our economy to suffer. These are the same people who today claim to be reformists.”
