A man is yet to come into terms after his wife engaged in a fist fight with his mpango wa kando over wedding plans.
This happened in Miranga village, Bomariba, Kisii County.
Richard Babu is said to have planned to wed his wife but his mpango wa kando, Bosibori, has refused.
“Babu is my man and we have been dating. He must marry me as his second wife as he promised me before he goes on with the wedding failure to which there will be no wedding,” said Bosibori.
Bosibori who raided the man’s home engaged in a physical fight with the real wife who said Babu will not marry a second wife.
“I married Babu when he has nothing. We have struggled with him to make money and now a prostitute wants to break the bond between us. I will not allow the prostitute to be married as my co-wife,” said Ann, the man’s wife.
Elders in the area led by Timothy Nyabaro said the man should ensure there is peace between his wife and mpango wa kando before proceeding with the wedding plans.
“This matter should not be taken lightly given that Babu sired a daughter with Bosibori. It is time Babu should sit down and solve the matter before the wedding otherwise, the wedding may not take place,” said Nyabaro.
Babu was expected to wed his wife on July 28 at St. Monica Church.
