Makadara Member of Parliament George Aladwa has lashed out at his Kimilili counterpart Didmus Barasa over his unending attacks on opposition leader Raila Odinga.
The youthful first time parliamentarian who is allied to Deputy President William Ruto was earlier in the week on the spotlight after making remarks translated as a wish for Raila's death.
In a political show Saturday, Aladwa who doubles up as Raila's close ally questioned the remarks and many other attacks the MP has been firing at Raila, terming them disrespectful.
He warned Barasa against attacking the former Prime Minister who has done a lot for the nation, yet he has done nothing at all for Kenyans and should therefore go for his equals.
"Barasa anaamka anatukana Raila na hata hajaonja nchi. Amelewa na ubunge hadi sasa anatukana statesman.
(He cannot insult a statesman every time he wakes up. It seems the position he recently got is getting into his head)," said Aladwa.
Aladwa was speaking on Radio Jambo's Mazungumzo Waziwazi political show Saturday morning.
He also fired similar shots at Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen and Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi, both of whom have also questioned Raila's motives.
The duo is part of another pro-Ruto team that has been accusing Raila of weakening the Jubilee Party with an intention of paralyzing the DP's 2022 presidential ambition.
He urged them to concentrate on their issues and let Raila be.
"Akina Murkomen na Sudi wawachane na Raila. Kama viongozi tutaanza tena matusi tutakuwa tunarudi tulipotoka (let's desist from insults if we want to move forward as a nation)," he advised.
The group has been uncomfortable with Raila's March 9, 2018 truce with president Uhuru Kenyatta and have repeatedly asked the President to declare his stand on Ruto's bid.
