Enthusiastic youths carried placards in solidarity with three leaders as 'Harambee Pamoja' chants rocked the entire town.

The three leaders had earlier gathered at Kisii School where they addressed a leaders forum that brought together Kisii and Nyamira residents.

Afterwards, they moved to Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital where a 250 male ward, CT scan, doctors hostel and Oncology centre were commissioned.

Also, Uhuru accredited the School of Medicine for Kisii University after officially opening histology and anatomy labs alongside the newly furnished morgue.

At the Kisii capitol roundabout, Uhuru hailed area residents for their commitment towards Building Bridges with other communities.

"You have history of keeping peace with neighbours. I came today with my deputy Ruto and my brother Raila. We are all excited to see people working hard for their livelihoods," he said.

DP Ruto added: "When you see me with Uhuru and Tinga, just be sure everything is okay. We want a united country and I am happy with the steps which the two chose."

Mr Odinga urged locals to maintain peace, adding that leaders should engage government for meaningful development.

It was the second public rally the two were addressing after sharing the podium in Kisumu in December last year. However, none of them directly spoke about the referendum.
