Even as the race to 2022 silently hots up, William Samoei Ruto remains the most likely candidate to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta upon the expiry of his second term in 2022.
Similarly, much has been said on DP Ruto's silent plans to eliminate stiff competition come the electioneering year.
Among the said plans include convincing vocal politicians from opposition strongholds to back him in his presidential bid.
However, according to Peter Mukolwe who is a political analyst and commentator, DP Ruto is planning to use his money to win the hearts of rival critics. Speaking during a breakfast show at Iftiin FM on Tuesday morning,
Mukolwe further revealed that DP Ruto could have planned his politics well in advance, noting that his rivals might be in for a rude shock come 2022.
"Ruto is a very rich man. He can even use his money to reach to even the most vocal of opposition politician to ditch their respective camps to back him," Mukolwe claimed.
Going by the nature of Kenyan politics, it is a fact that any rich individual could easily win the hearts of the electorate as long as 'money speaks.'
Therefore, it might not come as a surprise when the most staunch opposition leaders change tact to back his presidential bid.
