Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has mocked former Prime Minister Raila Odinga after his party lost in both Embakasi South and Ugenya by-elections.
He satirically said that Ugunja police are looking for an MP-elect who inflicted pain on a party leader which reference to Odinga.
“Police in Ugunja, are looking for an MP-elect for having caused actual body harm to a leader of a political party during a by election," he tweeted.
In the Ugenya by-election, Movement for Democracy and Growth candidate David Ochieng won the contest after securing 18, 730 votes against Chris Karan's 14,507 votes.
The results of the by-election have continued to elicit mixed reactions from various quarters.
A number of analysts believe that the loss is a big win for Ruto, who has declared his interest in succeeding President Uhuru Kenyatta once he completes his second and final term in office.
