In an interview with Radio Jambo Thursday evening, Aburi said that though no one owes the other a debt, the entire nation should consider Deputy President William Ruto’s 2022 bid.

The move, he observed, should be led by President Uhuru Kenyatta who enjoyed Ruto’s full backing in his 2013 bid and his 2017 re-election, saying that he must now support Ruto as a "thank you token".

‘’Wakenya na Rais hawana deni ya mtu, ila Uhuru lazima arudishe mkono kwa kumuunga Ruto 2022 (Kenyans and the President owe nobody a debt but he must demonstrate his gratefulness by backing Ruto in 2022),’’ he observed.

The former Tigania East parliamentarian further rubbished  Ruto’s most recent blow, following revelations that he is the most corrupt Kenyan, terming it mere propaganda.

He noted that the same is part of a plot hatched by anti-Ruto quarters out to sabotage his bid, after realising that he is actually headed for the top seat.

‘’Ruto lazima apitie hizo shida zote lakini hizo zote ni propaganda zisizokuwa na ukweli wowote (this is just baseless propaganda),’’ he added.
