It had been rumoured that he wouldn’t be allowed on the political podium.

However, he was invited by Uasin Gishu governor Jackson Mandago amid public demand.

Sudi took the occasion to assure the president that he is totally in support of his development agenda.

“Your Excellency, I want you to take Eldoret as your home and always visit here many times, I know that there has been a lot of rumours out there but I beg you to ignore and let’s focus on development,“ he said.

The outspoken lawmaker went on by telling the president to launch more projects on the ground and avoid focusing too much on the cabinet and statehouse issues.

He maintained that as leaders of Uasin Gishu, they are ready to accommodate the president as long as the president will also accommodate them.

“Mr President, I would like you to be a stress-free man, if cabinet secretaries and other government officials disturb you, just ignore them and visit counties such as Uasin Gishu to launch development projects,” he added.

The MP made it clear that he has no problem with the president visiting his home turf to execute the big four agenda. Dozens of leaders from Uasin Gishu also graced the occasion.

They included governor Mandago, senator Margaret Kamar, lawmakers Caleb Kositany, Janet Rotich, Swarup Mishra, Silas Tiren among others.

Sudi’s speech brought to end speculation that had hinted of statehouse’s intention of denying him the opportunity to access the microphone.
