Former Mwingi Central MP Joe Mutambo has asked Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka to shelve his 2022 presidential bid.
Mutambo said the former Vice President will embarrass himself if he contests in the much anticipated 2022 general election.
According to Mutambo, Kalonzo will lose miserably if he vies for the top seat.
The former Wiper legislator argues that Kalonzo does not have the political stamina to contest for the presidency.
He further claims that Kalonzo is surrounded by people who will not allow him to be president.
“Kalonzo should stop wasting time and resources because he has no chance of succeeding President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022,” Mutambo said.
He spoke during an interview on a local radio on Wednesday.
Mutambo said Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua stands a better chance to win the presidential seat than Kalonzo.
He asked Kalonzo to quit politics arguing that his time is up.
Kalonzo is among the top politicians who have declared their interests in the 2022 presidential election.
The Wiper Party leader said his 2022 presidential bid is unstoppable.
The former Vice President has insisted that he will be on the ballot.
He has dismissed claims of agreeing to be someone’s running mate in 2022.
