Solicitor General Ken Ogeto (pictured) lost his brother George Ogeto on Tuesday night, his family has confirmed.
Mr. Ogeto, who has been working in the Ministry of Information, Kisumu, succumbed at Kaplong Mission Hospital after a short illness.
Politician Edward Tinega, also a close family member said the deceased body would be relocated to Kisii later on Wednesday.
"I would like to confirm the death of George Ogeto, a brother to Solicitor General Ken Ogeto.
"He died after a short illness at Kaplong Mission Hospital on Tuesday night. Plans to relocate his body to Kisii are underway," he wrote in Borabu Watchtowers WhatsApp group.
This is another huge loss in Nyamira County given the status of the Ogeto family, which enjoys closeness with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Early this year, Mr. Ken Ogeto, replaced Njee Muturi as the State Attorney, something seen as a reward to his contributions to the President's campaigns in 2017.
The Ogeto family played an integral role in re-election of Uhuru along with Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i, his neighbour in Borabu scheme.
