Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i has been asked to move with speed and arrest local leaders spreading propaganda about Kisii Teaching and Referral hospital.
According to Kisii County Deputy Governor Joash Maangi, some individuals have a hidden agenda to achieve and therefore, should be arrested immediately.
"Some cartels are out to tarnish the name of Kisii County government by spreading propaganda about Kisii Teaching and Referral hospital. Matiang'i should intervene and order police to arrest the cartels using members of the public to taint the name of KTRH," he said.
Maangi reiterated that Kisii County government has invested a lot to improve infrastructure at KTRH and therefore, propaganda should not be condoned.
"The county has used millions of shillings to buy medical equipment, drugs and construct good infrastructures but, some selfish people are out spreading falsehood. Such people should be arrested to prove their allegations," he said.
He called on residents to shun local leaders who are idle only interested in falsehood.
Maangi assured that criticism will not make his boss Governor James Ongwae and him to succumb and they are focused to serve the electorates.
