Harambee Stars legend Dennis Oliech and his compatriot Musa Otieno were evicted from VVIP stand in Kasarani, ODM Director of Communications Philip Etale has claimed.
During the Sunday clash between Kenya and Ethiopia, Ruto led over 50, 000 Kenyans to Kasarani where the football team edged out the horn of Africa nation with am emphatic 3-0 victory.
But Etale, in an emotional tweet, accused Mr. Ruto of disrespecting legends following the alleged incident few minutes to the kick off.
"Can you imagine DP's security men harassed Kenya's great men Dennis Oliech and Musa Otieno as they entered the VVIP section of Kasarani stadium?
"Both men captained Harambee Stars during their times & were very successful athletes. Fans were not amused though," he wrote.
A close look at the stadium captures Mr. Oliech, Harambee Stars all time top scorer, standing at the VIP section along with MPs Babu Owino, Cleophas Malala and Bobi Wine.
However, the VVIP section was occupied by Ruto, former VP Kalonzo Musyoka, senator Kipchumba Murkomen and Moses Kuria among others.
Ideally, legends have usually occupied the VVIP section wherever the national team is playing at home.
Neither Oliech, Otieno, or who have captained Harambee Stars nor Ruto's team has come out to admit or deny the matter.
